About

Welcome, Bat-Fans! Thanks for taking the time to look through these posts. In case you’re confused by what you’re reading, I’ve set up a little description below to help get your Atomic Batteries to Power and your Turbines up to Speed:

What is this?

The Bright Knight is an unofficial mash-up of the 1966 Batman television series and 2008’s The Dark Knight film. This blog attempts to rewrite Christoper Nolan’s movie into a new, Adam West-style Batman episode. All of the classic ’66 characters, gadgets, and BIFF, ZAP, POW Bat-Fights are thrown into a Bat-Blender with the Dark Knight’s basic plot points. The result is (hopefully) something that reads like an original TV two-parter starring Adam West, Burt Ward, and Cesar Romero… but inspired by the more recent movie.

Truthfully, this is a love letter to two very different interpretations of my favorite character – Batman.

The Bright Knight is a story that I started writing as a what-if? around the year 2010. I had fun tossing it around for a while and then it collected dust on my hard drive for seven years. Two months ago I decided to finish it. That’s what happens when you find yourself “between opportunities.”

I hope my fellow Bat-Fans get a kick out of reading this story. I’ve had a lot of fun writing it.
